The December issue of the World of Petroleum and Bitumen
The CEO of the Research Institute of Petroleum Industry said about the power of knowledge-based companies and the private sector active in the country's petroleum sector: “We are growing and we are not perfect, but we are growing at a very good rate.”
Regarding the cooperation and interaction of the research institute with the private sector and knowledge-based companies active in the field of petroleum, Azim Kalantari Asl observed: “The Research Institute of Petroleum Industry has done research, service and executive work during its activity and will seek to conduct technology development management in the future.”
He added: “In the past, the activities carried out in the research sector by the Research Institute of Petroleum Industry were more widespread, but now, these activities have been limited to meeting the needs of the country. In the field of services, some of the services provided by the Research Institute of Petroleum Industry to private companies, universities and knowledge-based companies are almost unique and approved by the Ministry of Petroleum.”
Referring to the provision of more assistance and services to the private sector and knowledge-based companies, Kalantari continued: “The research institute can assume and initiate the responsibility of introducing some technologies needed by the private companies in the form of pilots, samples, and laboratory tests. And of course, it has started several pilots so far, and if such work is achieved, the way will automatically open for knowledge-based companies in the future.”
The CEO of the Research Institute of Petroleum Industry stated: “One of the problems of knowledge-based companies is that they do not have a place to test their produced technologies and they are facing some problems. In this regard, the power of the Research Institute of Petroleum Industry is limited, but it supports some of these technologies.”
Regarding the power of knowledge-based companies and the private sector active in the country's petroleum sector, he continued: “We are growing and we are not perfect, but we are growing at a very good rate. There are problems in the field of decision-making and laws, financial and human resource issues, etc., which are slowly being resolved and we hope to be more successful in the future.”
