The director of chemical studies and quality control laboratories of the National Iranian South Oil Company stated that they have not purchased any laboratory equipment from abroad since 2019, and added: “So far, we have submitted a request to purchase equipment for about 9 million euros, and we are trying to purchase this equipment from domestic companies.”
Dr. Shahin Parchekhari said: “Our company is one of the production and development companies in the petroleum and gas industry in the petroleum-rich regions of the south of Iran, which produces 80% of the country's petroleum.”
He added: “One of the strategies of the CEO of the National Iranian South Oil Company, following the emphasis of the Supreme Leader, is to support knowledge-based companies, and accordingly, we defined a research budget of about 1500 billion tomans for first-time construction projects.”
Parchekhari continued: “In this regard, we defined about 300 billion tomans for first-time construction projects with the aim of supporting knowledge-based companies.”
He considered the need for laboratory equipment and raw materials to be a continuous need and reminded: “We have taken a step in this direction with this strategy, and 10 first-time construction projects have been defined.”
The director of chemical studies and quality control laboratories of the National Iranian South Oil Company emphasized: “We have 7 first-time contracts in the stage of obtaining permission from the scientific vice-presidency, and in addition, we are reviewing 3 more cases.”
He added: “By cooperating with knowledge-based companies, we are looking for self-sufficiency and turning threats into opportunities, which we have done successfully so far, in such a way that we have not bought any laboratory equipment from abroad since 2019.”
Perchekhari reminded: “So far, we have submitted a request for the purchase of equipment worth about 9 million euros, and we are trying to supply this equipment from domestic companies, and with this plan, we will definitely buy equipment from any company that has made equipment.”
Referring to his visit to the Made in Iran exhibition, he said: “The achievements presented are honorable, but considering the existing capabilities in the country, there is room for further development, and I request that all government companies like us enter this field and facilitate the growth of knowledge-based companies.”
The director of chemical studies and quality control laboratories of the National Iranian South Oil Company emphasized that we must also present our future needs and said: “If the government departments also enter in this field, we will prepare a list so that knowledge-based companies can achieve more growth.”
