With the presence of the Iranian vice president for science, technology and knowledge-based economy, the production line of petroleum hydrocarbons using nanostructured catalysts was unveiled at Mokarrar Engineering Materials Company in Qazvin Industrial Park.

By attending this industrial park and one of the industrial complexes, Firouzabadi unveiled knowledge-based products and production lines of products based on petroleum hydrocarbons.

In the production lines of this technology complex, mineral seal oil including paraffin, Vaseline (petroleum jelly) and residue wax (foots oil) are produced for the first time with this new technology. This process with a high production level uses nanostructured catalysts, which do not have environmental damage and the disadvantages of current methods. Currently, to produce such products in Iran, they use oxidation in the vicinity of sulfuric acid, which causes shock in the sewage treatment plant systems in addition to environmental pollution.

This production line operates on three floors with two reactors, two blenders and a packaging department. The area of ​​each floor is about 240 square meters, and the total area of ​​the production unit is over 1000 square meters, which has the annual production capacity of 200 thousand tons of products.

Prepolymer production line unveiled

Next, with the presence of the scientific vice president and the governor of Qazvin, the production line of prepolymer was unveiled in the factory. This product is used in the production of all kinds of foams for chairs, furniture, shoes, etc.

Polyurethane products consist of two components: resin and hardener (isocyanate). The second component, from isocyanate compounds, is produced in general in the National Petrochemical Company, and a part of Iran's needs is also supplied through imports.

With the synthesis and polymerization of these materials, this company has taken a big step towards the production of specialized isocyanates with the aim of reducing dependence on foreign countries. The research unit of this part of the company has produced its specific isocyanate by changing the structure of isocyanate depending on the type of product, which has led to the production of new products.

For the specialized use of this component, this company produces a new product by synthesizing isocyanate, which has a wide application in specialized grades of consumption.

This production line has a capacity of 5000 tons per year. By enhancing quality and enabling the production of specialized polyurethane grades, this product delivers unparalleled results.

Until now, the same sample with many problems was imported from South Korea and China, while this product now brings at least five million dollars of foreign exchange savings to the country.

HA-111 epoxy hardeners introduced

Following this visit, the production line of epoxy hardeners, which have extensive and numerous applications in the production of industrial floors and coatings, was unveiled by Firouzabadi. Epoxy systems consist of two components: resin and hardener. HA-111 is a base hardener for the production of other epoxy hardeners.

HA-111 is semi-solid at ambient temperature. This product is pure and types of epoxy hardeners are produced from its combination with reactive and non-reactive diluents, catalysts, etc.

Due to the chemical structure of HA-111, hardeners based on this hardener have high chemical resistance, excellent physical properties and high efficiency. These hardeners are used in coating systems for chemical tanks, flooring, electrical and industrial adhesives, and in the production of composite parts, etc.

As the first producer of this product in Iran, this company has the capacity to produce two thousand tons per year, and due to the fact that similar products are very expensive, the production of this product at a price of one-third of the imported sample will save about two million dollars per year.

Cement blanket unveiled

Considering the necessity of producing geosynthetic products, the composite department of this company has produced and commercialized Isocement product for the first time in Iran.

This product, which has been introduced in the world under a different name, has a special and exclusive production process, and the test samples produced in this company are under investigation by the company's laboratory and the country's universities. The product produced by this technology complex, though similar to cement blanket, has a different production process, and is produced based on indigenous technology.

This product can be used wet on the walls and beds of the canals that have suffered erosion and do allow diverting and draining their water. It is also used in military units to set up emergency tents and field hospitals, and to strengthen and speed up the construction of concrete trenches as clean concrete in construction projects.
