WPB: FAE has ushered its RCU75 remote-controlled tracked carrier into a new phase by equipping it with the RPL/SSL-45 asphalt shredder. This innovative addition broadens the company’s capabilities, offering more tailored solutions to meet the demands of various industries.
The RCU75 now has the ability to mill as deep as 17 cm and features a 45 cm cutting width. Its head is equipped with advanced technological systems to ensure peak performance. The integration of self-leveling skids and tilt functionality enables the machine to deliver exceptional results, even on uneven terrains.
Weighing 3,470 kg, the carrier is powered by a 74-horsepower Tier 4 Final Kohler engine. Its design allows it to operate on inclines of up to 55 degrees. The hydraulic drive system guarantees precise operation, making it possible to cut close to walls on either side, aided by indicators for depth and cutting precision.
The onboard water system, complete with an integrated tank, reduces dust during operations while cooling the cutting teeth. These specialized teeth are engineered specifically for asphalt and concrete surfaces, enhancing the machine’s versatility.
FAE’s road planers leverage cold planer technology, which removes road surfaces through the impact of specialized rotor-mounted teeth. The RPL/SSL-45 features a unique tooth arrangement that optimizes performance, minimizes vibration, and simplifies tasks such as road resurfacing preparation and excavation work.
Operating from its base in Fondo, Italy, FAE designs and manufactures attachments for tractors, excavators, skid steers, and tracked carriers for applications in forestry, agriculture, roadwork, and demining. With a portfolio of over 90 products and 400 models, the company manages production, sales, after-sales service, and parts distribution through four production facilities, its headquarters, seven commercial branches, and an extensive network of authorized dealers worldwide.
