Alireza Daneshi, the CEO of the National Iranian South Oil Company, said: “Petroleum production had reached the minimum possible in the past years, and with the sanctions, the petroleum industry had found a special position; the majority of petroleum production was focused on supplying feed to the country's refineries, and about 200,000 barrels of petroleum were also produced for export.”
Stating that in the previous years, the production of the National Iranian South Oil Company had also reached the minimum possible, he added: “At that time, due to the fact that exports were not happening, the major repairs that are necessary for the activity of the National Iranian South Oil Company were also stopped, and in addition, the purchase of goods was stopped and instructions were issued which were completely inhibiting.”
The CEO of the National Iranian South Oil Company said: “These instructions and guidelines issued by the then minister caused no rotating machines to be repaired in the company and the work was outsourced. Outsourcing was a nice word, but its implementation was not complete because the country's environment was not ready for this and most of the repairs were carried out by the company itself.”
Daneshi stated: “Less than two years ago, we were facing a significant decrease in production and we were only supplying feed to refineries. We only had permission to produce a surplus of about 200,000 barrels, which was for export.”
Stating that the production of the National Iranian South Oil Company is carried out from 45 fields and 60 reservoirs, he continued: “We knew that it was our duty to redefine these conditions quickly because less than 5 years ago, even one development well was not allowed to be built in the petroleum-rich areas of the south and the work had completely stopped.”
The CEO of the National Iranian South Oil Company said: “In order to fill the warehouses and increase the resilience of the facilities, as well as to be able to find new markets, we had to redefine the conditions quickly, and in this regard, we submitted requests to the Ministry of Petroleum to amend the guidelines, and fortunately some of these guidelines were amended and we were allowed to make repairs.”
Daneshi said: “Since last year up to now, we have specially repaired 67 sensitive and strategic rotating machines of the National Iranian South Oil Company, and fortunately, these engines are returning to work one by one. Also, at the same time, we have corrected the processes of buying goods to quickly remove the warehouses from the very bad situation of the past, and of course we still need supplies.”
He continued: “In the next step, to achieve production, we had to turn our attention to the improvement of production processes, and in this regard, by performing various measures, including acid work, using multiphase pumps, installing pumps, etc., we were able to bring a considerable number of wells into production.”
The CEO of the National Iranian South Oil Company said: “In order to increase the production, we have repaired the old wells and brought them into production by taking various measures. In this regard, this year we have taken 36 factories to major repairs and we want to prepare ourselves to have maximum production.”
Daneshi said: “In the National Iranian South Oil Company, the duration of major repairs has been reduced by amending the protocols, and of course we are in the middle of the work in this field and we must increase these amendments.”
He pointed out: “The doors of petroleum have been opened to knowledge-based and innovative companies with new ideas, and with the cooperation of these companies, not only have we not suffered, but we have been proud to get new technology and make these companies more active.”
The CEO of the National Iranian South Oil Company said: “For this year, we have redefined 30 research and technology contracts, and the value of these contracts is about 1.5 thousand billion tomans, and it must be noted that we have left no stone unturned in the research issue.”If the Canadian federal government enforces stringent regulations on emissions starting in 2030, the Canadian petroleum and gas industry could lose $ ...
